Overview
Ithaca College expanded its on-campus EV charging network to advance sustainability goals, support a growing electric vehicle fleet, and enhance accessibility for students, staff, and the public.
Funded in part by NYSEG and NYSERDA grants, the project adds new Level 2 and supercharger stations in key campus locations. The chargers will provide convenient, affordable access while collecting usage data, meeting grant requirements, and generating modest revenue to offset installation and energy costs.
Access to dependable charging is the number one factor that determines whether people feel confident making the switch to an electric vehicle. This new infrastructure helps remove that barrier for our campus and for the region.
