Lynkwell is proud to announce its recognition by the New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association (NYSHTA) as the 2024 Partner of the Year. This prestigious award underscores Lynkwell’s influential role in shaping the future of sustainability and infrastructure within New York’s dynamic hospitality and tourism sectors.

Elevating Tourism & Hospitality Through EV Charging

As the number of EV drivers continues to rise, EV charging has become a strategic asset for hotels, resorts, and tourism destinations to capture this growing market, enhance their offerings, and stand out in a competitive landscape.

A 2023 survey conducted by tourism marketing agency Miles Partnership and research consultancy Longwoods International revealed that 36 percent of travelers own or lease an EV, while 38 percent have taken a day or overnight trip in their EV. This data underscores that with the right infrastructure and planning, long-distance travel in an EV is not only feasible but increasingly realistic. Looking ahead, the desire for EVs is only set to increase, with the survey indicating 40 percent of U.S. travelers considering an electric vehicle for their next road trip.

Lynkwell’s reliable and scalable charging solutions empower businesses to meet this demand while supporting long-term sustainability goals. Our charging solutions empower properties to deliver seamless, cutting-edge experiences for guests, driving immediate impact and reinforcing their position as leaders in modern amenities.

NYSHTA Member Charging Destinations

Tourism and hospitality destinations associated with NYSHTA are leveraging Lynkwell’s EV charging solutions to attract and accommodate the growing number of electric vehicle drivers. Notable destinations include LegoLand New York, where dual-use charging stations have been installed at both the theme park and hotel parking lots, allowing two vehicles to charge simultaneously at each station, available 24/7. Windham Mountain Club has also embraced Lynkwell’s technology, with 12 Level 2 EV chargers operating around the clock. These chargers deliver reliable service, boasting a consistent 97 percent uptime and an average charging session duration of 2.5 hours, ensuring guests have dependable access to power during their visits.

Leading the Future of Sustainable Tourism

NYSHTA’s recognition affirms Lynkwell’s leadership in driving the adoption of EV charging infrastructure across New York’s tourism landscape. By enabling hotels and attractions to provide critical charging services, we contribute to creating a more accessible, sustainable travel ecosystem. Recent research from JD Power indicates that nearly one in five hotel guests are seeking EV charging stations at their accommodations, a figure poised to rise alongside the growing adoption and sales of electric vehicles. Considering the aforementioned 40 percent of travelers planning to embark on EV road trips, the urgency for tourism destinations to enhance their offerings and cater to these evolving needs has never been greater.

Our partnerships with hospitality leaders position them at the forefront of evolving travel trends—enhancing guest satisfaction while future-proofing their operations and ensuring resilience in an increasingly dynamic industry.

Partnering for Progress

At Lynkwell, we believe innovation and collaboration are key to driving meaningful change. Our work with NYSHTA is a testament to our shared vision of sustainability and forward-looking infrastructure, equipping businesses to thrive amid the rapid growth of electric vehicles and adapt to the evolving expectations of today’s travelers.

Lynkwell remains committed to expanding EV charging access throughout the hospitality industry, enabling our partners to stay ahead of the curve in delivering sustainable, high-quality experiences.
