The Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) has selected energy infrastructure provider Lynkwell to provide EV charging station load management and network support services for its extensive existing infrastructure and future expansion.

Developer Bruce Volz will open a modern fueling station, called DC Station, at 5 Fulton Ave. in Northampton on Oct. 4, providing 10 fast, level-3 charging ports for electric vehicles (EVs) and a place for drivers to grab a cup of coffee or meal while they wait.

Lynkwell secures a three-year contract with SCPPA to manage and expand EV charging infrastructure, leveraging its ViaLynk™ platform for monitoring, integration, and compliance with California regulations.

The initiative is being executed under the New Jersey state purchasing co-op and supported by grants, with Lynkwell serving as the approved vendor on the New Jersey state contract (23-FLEET-68466) and providing the EV charging equipment and software for the project.
